Australia’s most reputable charity, the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) provides emergency aeromedical and primary health care services to those who live, work and travel in rural and remote Australia.
Our Darwin Tourist Facility provides an opportunity to learn about the history, staff and patients of the Royal Flying Doctor service and their heroic stories. The events surrounding the Bombing of Darwin Harbour in 1942 and the destruction it brought to the city can also be experienced through virtual and interactive technology.
We are seeking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Customer Service Assistant to ensure that our visitors receive the best possible customer service together with a unique learning experience.
About the Role:
• Hosting tour groups
• coordinating school visits, educational and local community events and activities
• Managing advanced bookings with a quality customer service focus
• Assisting with ordering, pricing, storage and displaying of merchandise
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
• A bright and enthusiastic personality
• Outstanding interpersonal skills and an ability to speak confidently to groups
• Previous retail sales and cash register experience
• Exceptional customer service and organisational skills
Previous experience in the Tourism Industry is preferred but not essential. Rostering is to cover opening hours Monday to Sunday.
