About this Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Retrieval Nursing Director, as Clinical Manager, you will be motivated to manage all aspects of our clinical emergency, aeromedical and community services from our growing Darwin Base.

Specifically, you will be motivated to:
- Lead the Low Acuity Medical Retrieval Service
- Lead continuous improvement of patient safety and quality in our aeromedical, and health charter services based in Darwin
- Lead the ongoing embedding of the National Safety and Quality Health Service standards into all clinical care provided by RFDS SANT across the Top End
- Develop and strengthen relationships with stakeholders and contractual partners to ensure our services meet the evolving needs of healthcare partners and Territorians
- Strengthen relationships with ACCHOs to find areas of partnership that support their delivery of contextually and culturally appropriate healthcare for First Nations communities
- In collaboration with the RFDS SANT Darwin leadership team, identify arising opportunities aligned with the RFDS SANT vision, mission and values that contribute to healthy and safe remote pastoral and Aboriginal communities via improved access to high quality primary and emergency healthcare
- Implement identified sustainable and strong service delivery models
- Develop and implement a fit for purpose structure for the evolving clinical teams based in the Top End to ensure a constructive, supportive culture
- Lead, motivate and guide a growing team of flight nurses and paramedics to achieve patient-centred outcomes
- Oversee and periodically undertake the provision of clinical services aligned with scope of practice.

About You

You possess:
- Experience in the delivery of healthcare services in regional, rural, remote and/or aeromedical retrieval environments
- Experience in delivering culturally safe healthcare practices
- Demonstrated experience in leading, guiding and motivating a clinical team in a multi-disciplinary or geographically disperse environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of – and experience in applying - National Safety and Quality Health Service standards within a complex health service environment.

To be considered for the role you require:

- General nursing registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
- Postgraduate qualifications in emergency or critical care nursing
- A full and valid/current drivers licence issued by an Australian state or territory
- Proof of current Medical Indemnity.
