About this Role
The newly created role of Clinical Educator Aeromedical, Emergency and Transport is integral to our commitment to delivering the finest care to the furthest corner and is responsible for the development, coordination and delivery of continuing education and Orientation for all doctors, aeromedical nurses and patient transport officers who provide emergency care and transport for RFDS Central Operations.
The position reports to the Retrieval Nursing Director and will work collaboratively with the Clinical Director of Retrieval Services and the Manager of Patient Transport to implement a continuously evolving clinical education program.
The role has ownership of student placements, scholarship activities and will actively participate in clinical audits and governance and work in partnership with the Base Clinical Educators.
About You
You have significant experience in the preparation and delivery of clinical education programs. An astute communicator with a passion for teaching you have a flexible and collaborative approach and a demonstrated ability to teach and work in a culturally diverse environment. Your scope of practice and experience is aligned to high acuity Aeromedical nursing and ideally you have experience in prehospital retrieval nursing and a connection and commitment to improved health outcomes for rural communities.
