About this Opportunity

RFDS Central Operations is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Base Clinical Educator to join our health services team based in Adelaide. You will work collaboratively with Base Clinical Educators at other bases within Central Operations to develop, coordinate and deliver continuing clinical education for all nursing and other staff involved in the delivery of health services.

The role will also evaluate core skills, respond to workplace clinical performance issues through the provision of customised training and educational sessions, and facilitate orientation and credentialing of all new RFDS nursing staff. The Base Clinical Educator will work collaboratively with other divisions within the RFDSCO to develop and deliver health related education in accordance with best practice.

About You

To be successful in this role you must be a Registered Nurse with demonstrated Flight Nurse experience, documented evidence of preparation and delivery of clinical education programs, along with a good understanding of the principles of adult learning. You will also possess an understanding of ALS competencies and be able to work as a sole practitioner and with a team. Postgraduate qualifications in Midwifery is also essential, along with Critical Care and/or Emergency.

You must have outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal which will be complemented by your ability to transfer skills and knowledge to staff using a variety of mediums and techniques.
