About this Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Senior Base Engineer, as the Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you will support the provision of maintenance to air aircraft fleet in accordance with the RFDS SA/NT maintenance related procedures and practices. Working in a challenging and rewarding environment, our engineering team plays a pivotal role in enabling the delivery of vital aeromedical services to rural and remote locations.

Specifically, you will:
• Provide maintenance support to ensure aircraft availability to meet contract requirements.
• Maintain compliant aircraft records including WinAir records.
• Comply with and work within Engineering systems and processes as specified in the Maintenance Organisation Manual.
• Comply with the requirements of the Systems of Maintenance and Maintenance Control Manual.
• Ensure aircraft are clean and presentable at all times.
• Maintain RFDS aircraft support equipment.
• Perform temporary/relief maintenance at other RFDS locations as required.

About You


You are:
• Able to determine priorities and achieve deadlines with minimal supervision.
• An exceptional communicator.
• Able to utilise strong problem-solving abilities.
• Driven and able to use initiative.
• Equipped with basic computer skills.

To be considered for the role you require:
• Experience in the maintenance or Cert IV in Aeroskills Mechanical or Avionics
• A current Australian driver’s licence.
