About the RFDS (Central Operations)
Saving and improving lives for over 90 years, the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia (RFDS) is a leader in the delivery of emergency aeromedical and community health care services to rural and remote Australia.
Serving South Australia and the Northern Territory, the team at RFDS Central Operations exists to support happier and healthier Australians, no matter where they live, work or play.
We continually invest in our people, infrastructure, and technology to improve our patient-centred care.
About this Opportunity
Based out of Port Augusta, the Osteopath takes a holistic view of the body and considers how the skeleton, joints, muscles, nerves, circulation, connective tissue psychological, social factors and internal organs function as a unit, and, how an injury to one organ can affect other organs in the same system. The Osteopath often treats patients with sports related injuries or arthritis complaints.
The Osteopath interacts with members of the public daily and consults with RFDS clinics to undertake work as part of the Integrated Primary Care program, in community health centres or physical rehabilitation centres. The Osteopath may also work in consultancy roles for sporting and fitness organisations.
