About this opportunity
As the Base Clinical Educator, Aeromedical Emergency and Transport, you will play a key role in supporting clinical excellence across RFDS SA/NT.
Working closely with Doctors, Aeromedical Nurses and Transport Officers, you will develop and deliver education, training and competency programs that strengthen workforce capability and support the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care.
You will partner with clinical leaders to coordinate onboarding, clinical skills development, simulation training and ongoing professional development initiatives, while promoting evidence-based practice and continuous improvement.
Through your expertise and collaborative approach, you will help foster a culture of learning, support clinical governance and ensure our teams are equipped to provide exceptional care to remote, rural and regional communities.
About You
You are an experienced aeromedical clinician and educator who is passionate about developing others and supporting clinical excellence. With strong clinical expertise, excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach, you thrive in dynamic environments and are committed to delivering high-quality education that enhances patient care and workforce capability across remote and regional communities.
You will bring:
- Flight Nurse experience across fixed-wing and rotary-wing operations.
- Experience developing, coordinating and delivering clinical education and training programs.
- Understanding of adult learning principles and contemporary education practices.
- Advanced clinical skills, including the ability to demonstrate ALS competencies and work autonomously in isolated environments.
- Strong ability to coach, mentor and transfer knowledge using a variety of learning methods.
- Experience working effectively within culturally diverse environments and communities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong organisational skills, initiative and the ability to manage competing priorities.
