About this Opportunity
Based in Darwin and reporting to the Team Leader, Operations Coordination Centre (OCC), the Operations Coordinator plays an important role in coordinating and allocating RFDS SA/NT assets and supporting the effective delivery of our operational activities. As a central point of contact for asset utilisation requests, you will work with teams and stakeholders across the organisation to help ensure our services operate safely, efficiently and effectively. This role supports 24/7 operation and involves and rotating roster 12-hour including morning, afternoon and overnight shifts.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Coordinate RFDS SA/NT assets and resources to support safe, efficient and responsive operations.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including contract partners, healthcare professionals and relevant agencies, to support the delivery of high-quality patient care.
- Liaise with hospitals, remote clinics, stations and other remote locations to coordinate patient readiness and support timely transfers.
- Coordinate road ambulance resources and aircraft refueling requirements to support patient transfers and operational readiness.
- Provide advice on asset and crew availability and assist in determining the most appropriate use of available resources.
- Monitor and manage ground-to-aircraft radio communications in support of safe and effective operations.
- Accurately record and maintain operational activity and information within relevant systems and databases.
- Contribute to quality assurance and continuous improvement activities across the Operations Coordination Centre.

- Strong computer literacy and proficiency across relevant software applications and systems.
- Formal qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in communications, coordination, logistics or a related operational discipline will be highly regarded
