Young ringer’s race for help:
Amy’s story
Amy was 23 and working on a remote cattle station when a 700kg young bull struck her in the face.
More than 430 kilometres from the nearest major hospital, knocked unconscious and bleeding heavily, Amy was in extreme danger.
While station staff spoke with RFDS doctors over the phone, an aeromedical crew launched from Alice Springs. Within hours, Amy was receiving life-saving care. Watch the video for the full story.
