Flying Doctor Day
On behalf of the Royal Flying Doctor Service and all Western Australians who need our help - thank you for your generous support this Flying Doctor Day.
We are so thankful to the WA community for donating to our 24-hour Flying Doctor Day fundraising appeal, sharing your Flying Doctor stories on social media and purchasing our iconic Flying Doctor socks, with landmarks across WA lighting up in red and blue on 17 May.
With your help, Flying Doctor Day raised $850,473, far exceeding our original target of $600,000.
With a third Rio Tinto LifeFlight PC-24 jet and two Fortescue Heli-Med EC-145 helicopters introduced into service in the last year, funds raised will be used to purchase vital medical equipment to equip our expanded fleet and help us continue to save lives.
On behalf of our team and patients, we thank everyone who celebrated our 94th anniversary and helped raise much needed funds to keep us flying into the future.
