Starting at The Glebe, Launceston at 10am a convoy of trucks will make its way through Launceston, out the Southern Outlet to Longford Showgrounds to help the RFDS celebrate 60 years of service to Tasmania.
From 11am at the showgrounds it will be a great family fun day featuring all kinds of trucks new and old plus emergency service vehicles. Music from DJ Sticks, barbecue lunch and a giant raffle on site will add to the atmosphere.
RFDS Tasmania will have its plane simulator on site and staff available to talk to about a range of physical and mental health care services available in rural and remote areas around the state.
Entry is by gold coin donation and 100 per cent of this and money raised from the auction, which features hundreds of fabulous items, will go to helping this vital service which is needed more now than ever.
If you love trucks, know someone who owns a truck, or you have a truck and want to get involved, get along on the day.
All required Covid-safe procedures will be in place and enforced.
