Outback Morning Tea

On 25 November 2019 RFDS Victoria will be asking Victorians to don their best apron and pop on the kettle, as supporters around the state host morning teas to commemorate the birthday of our founder, Rev. John Flynn, and to raise vital funds for the RFDS Victoria.

Titled Outback Morning Tea, the event is a nod to yesteryear, celebrating all things Australiana, while paying homage to our love for a cuppa with our mates.

“There are few organisations more quintessentially Aussie than the RFDS, and so an outback-themed morning tea seemed a fitting way to celebrate the legacy of John Flynn, and to promote the need for the organisation to be supported well into the future,” says Rohan Morris, RFDS Victoria Community and Corporate Fundraiser.

Workplaces, community groups, and sporting clubs are all invited to take part. Every outback morning tea goes some way to helping RFDS Victoria continue to provide excellent health care to rural Victoria.

After signing up, hosts are sent a ‘host pack’ containing information about the initiative, recipes from the Country Women’s Association, and hosting tips to help prepare for the big day.
