Team Leader Rural and Physical Health, Full Time Fixed Term Contract (3 years) 

The Royal Flying Doctor Service Tasmania supports the aeromedical service and reaches out to communities to deliver a broad range of primary health care services to benefit people living in rural and remote areas of Tasmania.

The Royal Flying Doctor Service Tasmania is now recruiting a Team Leader for the Rural and Physical Health team.  This position will be responsible for leading a team of rural and physical health workers responsible for improving the health outcomes for people living with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), Cardiovascular disease (CVD), mental illness and dementia. 
 
Reporting directly to the Manager of Primary Health Care, this position requires a high level of clinical expertise and theoretical knowledge in the assessment and management of clients with chronic and complex conditions, the ability to develop culturally appropriate information and communication sessions and a thorough knowledge of health services and issues pertaining to people living in rural and remote areas.
 
To be successful in this role you must be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills, the ability to influence and manage a team whilst utilising sound judgment skills.  This role will favor a candidate with a clinical background and will require regular intrastate travel.
