Reporting to the Head of Training and Checking, we have a unique opportunity for a PC24 Training and Checking Pilot on a full-time basis. This position will be based at either Jandakot or Broome with frequent travel and will to provide ground and flight training and checking duties for all PC24 Pilots as designated by the Head of Training and Checking.

A high level of communication skills; verbal, written and presentation
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to remain impartial whilst working as part of a team
A high degree of flexibility, including the ability to act autonomously when required
Superior aircraft handling and operational skills with the ability to remain calm in tense situations
5000 hours Total Command Time
500 hours Nighttime
250 hours Instrument Flying time
Current Australian Drivers’ License
CASA Commercial Pilots Licence
Hold or be eligible to hold a CASR Part 61 Flight Examiner Rating;
CASR Part 61 Simulator Instructor or Flight Instructor Rating (FIR with CLR SEA or MEA, IR A and DF highly desirable);
Current Class 1 CASA Medical
Minimum five (5) Instrument Rating Renewals
As a valued team member who supports our 24/7 operations, you may be required to work across weekdays, weekends and public holidays on both day and night shifts.

About the role


Preparation and delivery of training packages (audio visual, documentation and practical) via classroom, in-field and synthetic training devices
Induction, Conversion and Endorsement training of Pilots, Flight Nurses, Doctors and Engineering team members
Examination invigilation
Recurrent training and checking of employees where required by relevant legislation and RFDSWO policy and procedures
Assist the Head of Training and Checking with monitoring employee currency and training requirements
Data entry of completed training events via applicable software or manual tracking documentation
Undertake Operational Supervisory Pilot duties as per the RFDS Western Operations Flying Operations Manual
