The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) is one of the largest and most comprehensive aeromedical organisations in the world.  Using the latest aviation, medical and communications technology, the RFDS delivers primary health care and 24-hour emergency services to more than 51,000 people in SA and NT every year.  Central Operations has bases in Darwin, Alice Springs, Port Augusta and Adelaide, serving those living, working and travelling in rural and remote locations across an area of more than 2.3 million square kilometres.

With the internal progression of our Pilots to PC-24 jet operations, opportunities now exist for PC-12 Line Pilots. Working with the RFDS you will be joining a team of dedicated professionals supporting those providing health care to people living and working in regional, rural and remote Australia.

The qualifications and experience required are:

  • CASA CPL (A)
  • Current IPC (3 renewals)
  • 2500 hours total flying
  • 1500 hours pilot-in-command

In addition to the above requirements, your application would be enhanced with:

  • 200 hours night
  • 500 hours multi-engine or 500 hours turbine experience
  • PC-12 experience
  • Remote operations
