About this Opportunity
Working within our dynamic and highly skilled multidisciplinary Primary Health Care Team as an Occupational Therapist, you will provide assessment and treatment services for people living in rural and remote areas, and in particular populations who are culturally and geographically diverse.
Based in Port Augusta, this role will specifically require you to:
- Use professional knowledge and skills to provide comprehensive assessments, interpret findings, and plan and implement interventions in conjunction with the client, carers, and other health professionals.
- Provide a broad range of evidence-based clinical and consultative services.
- Manage a varied caseload across a range of service settings, including aged care, remote stations, remote health clinics, Indigenous populations, and culturally and linguistically diverse populations.
- Provide effective assessment and triage, timely responses to referrals, coordinated care, and prompt follow-up.
- Build effective partnerships with relevant community service providers.
- Support community participation in the development, delivery and evaluation of the services provided by the Primary Mental Health Care Team.
About You
You are:
- An AHPRA registered Occupational Therapist, with three years’ postgraduate experience in the clinical management of a broad range of conditions for adults and paediatrics.
- A passionate advocate for the needs of patients and their networks, you will have experience with diverse caseloads in a range of settings such as Aged Care, remote stations, remote health clinics, and Indigenous and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) populations.
- An excellent communicator with a high level of clinical documentation skills, and an ability to participate in a multi-disciplinary team.
- A strong problem solver with a demonstrated understanding of the impact of medical, social, and environmental factors on occupational performance.
