The Role

Reporting to the Head of Fundraising this role will be responsible for raising funds from major supporters with a focus on the cultivation, solicitation
and stewardship of individuals, corporates, trusts and foundations. This will include:

  • leading and coordinating the relationship management of current major donors
  • research, identification and the solicitation of new major gift donors
  • implementing and maintaining personalised stewardship plans for major donors
  • ensuring that lapsed major donors are given the opportunity to renew their support
  • supporting the Head of Fundraising with the development of major gifts submissions

Skills Required

You are a relationship fundraiser, BD, sales or sponsorship executive with a background in corporate fundraising and/or trusts and foundations.You have exceptional communication and influencing skills with a personable approach to engage and build relationships and you can demonstrate:

  • deep understanding of best practice major gift or business development strategies
  • success securing funding from trusts and foundations, major donors, PAFs or corporate partners
  • use of effective soliciting and stewardship tools mapping the donor or customer journey
  • experience working collaboratively in a target driven environment
  • excellent pitch and presentation skills
  • ability to plan and prioritise work to multitask, meet deadlines and achieve goals
  • proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with CRM systems
