About the Role

As the Health Program Manager, you will lead the strategic direction, governance, and operational performance of RFDS Victoria’s clinical programs. This senior leadership role is pivotal in shaping and executing a long-term operational strategy, driving innovation, and ensuring sustainable, community-centred care across multiple service streams. You will collaborate closely with other senior leaders to align clinical operations with organisational priorities and foster a culture of excellence.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Lead strategic planning and operational delivery of clinical services across multiple programs, ensuring alignment with RFDS vision and community health needs
- Manage program budgets, forecasts, and financial performance, driving accountability and sustainability in service delivery
- Oversee clinical governance, risk management, and accreditation processes to maintain safety and quality standards
- Design and implement innovative, community-informed care models that respond to evolving health trends and data insights
- Develop and lead a high-performing clinical workforce, focusing on capability building, retention, and leadership development

To be successful, you will need:

- Tertiary qualifications in Health Care, Public Health, Healthcare Administration or related field
- Minimum 8 years’ leadership experience in complex health or regulated environments
- Strong knowledge of primary health care systems, funding models, and integrated service delivery
- Deep expertise in clinical governance, risk management, and accreditation
- Proven ability to influence and communicate with executives, boards, and senior stakeholders
- Genuine passion for RFDS’s mission and improving access to healthcare for rural communities
- Postgraduate qualifications in Healthcare Administration, Public Health or related discipline (desirable)
- Satisfactory completion of safety screening including a current Driver’s Licence, National Police Check, and the right to work in Australia
