Port Hedland

We are currently seeking a General Practitioner to provide weekly outreach services to the following Pilbara communities: Nullagine, Yandeyarra and Marble Bar.

This is a permanent part time 0.8 FTE  residential position based in Port Hedland and we would consider a job-share arrangement. The RFDS WO provides partially subsidised housing and vehicle as part of living in the community.

About you

You will be an experienced General Practitioner with a breadth of knowledge and skills in the clinical discipline of general practice. Additionally, you will maintain full registration with AHPRA and vocational registration as a GP.

Previous experience in indigenous health, emergency experience and completion of standard emergency courses such as ALS will be considered advantageous.

About the role

- Provision of comprehensive routine and emergency general practice care to patients in remote communities & nursing posts.
- Provision of shared antenatal care.
- Minor procedures within the scope of practice of a GP.
- Provision of contraceptive advice and treatment within the scope of practice of a GP.
- Provision of cervical screening services.
- Management of patient health records


- Permanent, part-time role – 3 clinic days and one administration day per week
- Salary packaging - up to $15,900 per annum for everyday expenses and up to $2,650 per annum on meals and entertainment expenses
