About this Role

The newly created role of Clinical Educator Primary Care and clinical Safety and Quality is integral to our commitment to delivering the finest care to the furthest corner. In collaboration with the Primary Health Clinical Leads and Manager of Clinical Safety and Quality Systems you will plan, deliver and evaluate clinical training for our primary health clinicians within a clinical education framework.

A key focus of the role is to ensure clinical safety and quality in health care delivery at RFDS and to facilitate this you will conduct a training needs analysis to formulate customised training and educational sessions. The Clinical Educator will plan and deliver orientation, liaise with external agencies to identify educational opportunities for staff and in collaboration with the Manager Remote Area Clinics draft and facilitate regular clinical skills training/simulation.

About You

An experienced clinical educator, you have demonstrated experience in safety, quality, risk and compliance and a working knowledge of the NSQHS. An AHPRA registered practitioner in Nursing/ Health Education or Health Sciences, ideally you are BLS/ ALS qualified. An astute communicator with a passion for teaching you have a flexible and collaborative approach and a demonstrated ability to teach and work in a culturally diverse environment. Ideally you have a connection and commitment to improved health outcomes for rural communities.
