The Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia (RFDS) is one of the largest and most comprehensive aeromedical organisations in the world. Using the latest in aviation, medical and communications technology, we deliver extensive health care and 24-hour emergency service to those who live in and travel through remote, rural and regional Australia.

The Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia - South Eastern Section’s Aviation Training Team is a CASR Part 141/142 qualified training organisation. Our recent fleet expansion of four brand new B350 aircraft requires a growth of our aviation training team to meet the increased training & checking demands for more than 50 pilots flying for one of the oldest and most respected aviation organisations in the world. In 2019 the Aviation Training Team will take delivery of the RFDS’s very first flight simulator. The Aviation Training Team requires a full-time Deputy Head of Flight Training to assist with the management of training RFDS South Eastern pilots for our King Air fleet of aircraft.

Qualifications


Licence:

Australian ATPL-A
Hold, or be eligible to obtain a CASR Part 61 Flight Examiner Rating
CASR Part 61 Flight Instructor Rating (MEA, IR & DF FIR endorsements)
CASR Part 61 Multi-Engine Instrument Rating with minimum 6 MEA IPC’s
Current Class 1 or 2 CASA Medical Certificate

Experience:
Extensive experience as a flight instructor and/or CASA approved check pilot
Excellent pilot safety record in the conduct or management of air operations
Multi-engine and Instrument instructional experience
Minimum of two years operational experience on multi-engine turbine aeroplanes
Total aeronautical experience – 3000 Hours
