About the Opportunity

RFDS Central Operations takes great pride in developing the skills of our people to ensure we deliver our promise of ‘The furthest corner. The finest care’.  Our goal is to ensure our apprentices master their trade through hands on, practical training and a supportive approach to formal education.

As part of our Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Apprenticeship program we have opportunities available in Alice Springs and Adelaide.  Reporting to the Senior Base Engineer, our apprentices will develop competencies and proficiency as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer on PC12 and PC 24 aircraft, in accordance with CASA regulations and our operating procedures, manuals and guidelines.

About you

In addition to being enthusiastic, committed and reliable, you will have a strong passion for the aviation industry and ideally you will have:

- Sound interpersonal and communication skills
- The ability to show initiative, self-motivation and attention to technical detail
- Well-developed computer skills
- The ability to demonstrate a positive and willing attitude to learning; both on the job and through a diligent approach to your formal education
- A willingness to take direction and work as part of a team
- Eligibility to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).
