The Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia South Eastern Section (RFDSSE) provides comprehensive health services to rural and remote communities in Far West NSW, SA and QLD.

Our Mental Health Program has expanded to include 3 Alcohol and other Drug (AoD) Clinicians and 3 Community Engagement Workers located in the Dubbo. Cobar and Broken Hill areas; we are seeking a suitably qualified person to undertake the Full Time role of Program Manager to oversee and grow the program.  The AoD positions are supported by a partnership agreement with the RFDSSE and the Lyndon Community.

The AoD program delivers a range of community and clinical services including; health promotion and intervention, counselling, case management, individual and family support, group programs, referral and other community engagement activities.

The role of the Program Manager is to lead the team, plan, monitor, evaluate and report in line with funding agreements.  The successful applicant can be located in Dubbo, Cobar or Broken Hill and must be willing to travel extensively within the region, and manage a geographically dispersed team.

The successful applicant will demonstrate qualifications and/or experience in program management and team management, preferably in an outreach setting.  They will have a sound knowledge of planning, monitoring, evaluation and quality improvement with an ability to contribute to organisational strategic goals, and to translate these goals into operations.  In addition experience in networking, community engagement, and advocacy will be highly regarded.
