Description

We are offering you an exciting opportunity to join the Royal Flying Doctor Service South Eastern Section (RFDSSE) in this newly created role as General Practice Business Development Lead. You will be developing our footprint in our practices across Western New South Wales helping to increase revenue and ensuring the delivery and sustainability of primary health care in rural communities. With a base in Dubbo or Orange you will be required to travel to our various practices.

The Role
  
Planning: Lead the management of patient care and high-quality clinical
practices, developing effective services and maintaining a proficient workforce.

Implement: Develop strategies, programs and procedures aligned to the strategic direction of RFDSSE which result in continual growth and development of our medical practices.

Leadership:  Drive transformation in the provision of patient care and billings across multiple teams and practices.

Innovate: Work closely with the General Manager Health Service to create a strategy for growth, focusing on opportunities for new practices and innovate current practices.
  
Training: Recruit General Practitioners and Rural Generalists to develop training and development pathways. Create a culture of learning, including clinical placements and registrar rotations.

Essential knowledge and skills
  • Medical or related degree or significant experience in working with Medical and Health Practitioners.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Healthcare or business Management
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Health Industry management, preferable in a General Practice setting.
Desirable experience & criteria
  • Qualification and/or extensive experience in health administration, management, business administration, or related discipline and experience in a relevant health field.
  • Extensive knowledge of strategies to maximise operational performance for long term sustainability in a Primary Health Care Service and demonstrated capacity to implement them.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Medicare practices and billing and associated organisational support.
