Join the Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section) as a Community Engagement Coordinator and drive our relationships, community participation and long-term support.

About the role
This is an exciting career opportunity to join our team, on a permanent, full-time basis. Positions available at our Western Queensland bases in Mount Isa and Charleville, with the added flexibility of working from home if and when desirable.
This role is a fantastic opportunity for you to develop your community engagement skills, as well as contribute to the wider Corporate Affairs team including event planning, marketing, media and content creation. Everyday you will be developing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to help promote the lifesaving work of the RFDS and build a community of advocates.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Represent RFDS Queensland at various events both local and state-wide
  • Maintain accurate data and information in the RFDS database to correctly track and record community engagement activity and lead generation activity
  • Support collection of Past Patient stories and testimonials
  • Serve as a brand advocate and ambassador in every interaction with stakeholders and the public
  • Deliver on the community engagement strategy and support a network of RFDS ambassadors across the state
Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a friendly individual with excellent customer service skills and an empathetic approach. You will be systems savvy and display:
  • Previous experience working in and promoting their community
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Previous data entry experience with the ability to perform tasks with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to respond to customer queries in a courteous, prompt, accurate and confident manner
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work and problem solve, autonomously, while collaborating and contributing to wider team goals
  • Excellent relationship building skills and ability to adapt communication style
  • Ability to proactively seek opportunities to attract existing and prospective community engagement
