The Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia (RFDS) is one of the largest and most comprehensive aeromedical organisations in the world. The Royal Flying Doctor Service South Eastern Section (RFDSSE) have a parental leave cover opportunity for an Information Management Specialist to join the Risk and Assurance team based at the Surry Hills office in Sydney. This exciting and rewarding role will continue the ongoing project of developing an Information Management Framework and provide information management guidance, support, and oversight to meet the RFDSSE Quality objectives. 
Reporting to the Head of Risk and Assurance, your responsibilities will include, but not limited to: 

  • The management of all information, documentation and records and related activities. 
  • Monitor and investigate information privacy or security incident reports. 
  • Perform duties of the Privacy Officer in relation to company policy and procedure. 
  • Responsible for managing and maintaining the Document Manager System (M-Files). Manage the administration of system software, perform updates and act on personnel requests when received. 
  • Maintain oversight of the documents located in the SharePoint document library. 
  • Provide advice, support, and interpret/apply legislative, policy and regulatory requirements on the management of information and records to the organisation.  
 To be considered for this position you must have: 
  • Minimum three (3) years records or document management experience. 
  • Advanced computer skills in the use of Microsoft Office applications.  
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers. 
  • Aptitude for technology, with experience in multiple software applications and/or business information systems. Knowledge and experience with Document Management Systems such as M-Files and SharePoint. 
  • Ability to take initiative on individual tasks and work collaboratively on team projects. 
  • Knowledge of the Privacy Act 1988. 
  • Experience managing projects and Knowledge of Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) Regulations, Health and Safety legislation (WorkSafe NSW, WorkSafe Australia) and ISO 9001 Quality Management System standard are desirable.
