The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) in Queensland are leaders in providing access to aeromedical and primary health care services to people in remote, rural, and regional locations.  As we head toward our 100th year of providing services, we are focused on providing safe, innovative clinical care and improving the patient experience.
One of the strategic initiatives moving RFDS into the future is the Digital Transformation Program. The RFDS is looking to streamline and consolidate systems and harness new technology. To achieve our goal, we need to grow our team and are looking for a Business Analyst.
The Business Analyst will;

  • Document current and future state business requirements and processes
  • Prepare business cases which define development of new or changed processes and associated business risks
  • Recommend or design structures and tools for systems
  • Contribute to the configuration of software and systems as required
  • Manage user expectations to align with system capabilities and functionality
  • Ensure release processes and procedures are developed and maintained
  • Ensure test plans and scripts are recorded and tracked to agreed standards
The Business Analyst is a full-time position on a maximum term contract of 12 months based in Brisbane.

Who we are looking for?

To be successful in this role you will possess the following:
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required
  • Strong communication and stakeholder and customer engagement skills
  • 7 years of experience in business analysis, process design and build and data modelling and reporting
  • 5 years of supporting the implementation and change of complex business applications
  • Experience with ITSM Ticket Management, including queue management and triage
  • Experience Supporting application system integrations across multiple systems
  • Experience working across complex and diverse business, aviation, and corporate applications.
  • Experience producing documentation including business and technical artefacts, process maps and user guides

  • ITIL Foundation Certification

RFDS (Queensland Section) works with vulnerable patients in remote parts of Queensland and provides an essential service to many regional and remote communities. To ensure the health and safety of our staff, our patients, and these communities, as well as to manage the risks involved in service delivery and COVID-19 transmission in these communities and our workplaces, our staff are required to be vaccinated against COVID-19. If you are the successful candidate the requirement to be vaccinated against COVID-19, including maintaining any recommended booster requirements, will be a term of your employment, as will the requirement to provide proof of vaccination.

Successful candidates will be subject to a Police Check and Pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Testing.  Candidates are required to hold a current, unrestricted Australian Driver's Licence and obtain an ASIC Card. There also may be a requirement to undertake intrastate travel with overnight stays.
