The Royal Flying Doctor Service (South Eastern Section) is a leading and trusted healthcare provider in remote, rural and regional areas of South Eastern Australia.  We provide communities across our network with a diverse range of healthcare services as well as emergency retrieval services throughout the outback.

To assist us to provide these world class services we are seeking applications from a motivated and dynamic person to play a key role in our ambitious and exciting Fundraising program. This role is located at our marketing office within the Sydney CBD.

The Royal Flying Doctor Service South Eastern Section seeks to appoint a Retention and Development Manager based at Sydney. This role will lead the development and implementation of retention and development strategies to achieve the organisation’s aim of becoming best in class in securing and retaining individual donors and, through exceptional communications and supporter care, engaging them more deeply in the organisation’s work in order to maximise loyalty and life time value. Leading a team of high performing fundraising professionals, this role will meet ambitious donor retention and income growth targets through:

  • providing strong leadership with five direct reports and across the wider fundraising team
  • developing and implement a strategic plan with aim of growing and maximizing retention and LTV of our donors
  • enhancing programs and supporter journeys to engage and retain our amazing supporters across all channels and audiences
  • managing warm appeals program from concept to analysis
  • developing and implement strategies to maximise donations across telemarketing, community fundraising, bequests and mid value donors
  • collaborating internally across departments to ensure a full ‘program approach’ to increase the effectiveness of fundraising strategy ambitions
  • preparing and monitoring and report on a substantial operational budget within agreed revenue and expenditure
