University of Sydney's Department of Rural Health (Broken Hill)

The RFDS has always been committed to reducing shortages of health practitioners in remote and regional Australia. To accomplish this, we have formed strong links with universities in order to provide training, mentoring and student placements at many of our Bases.

The South Eastern Section of the Flying Doctors has formed a strong alliance with the Broken Hill University Department of Rural Health and School of Rural Health at Dubbo, offering educational programs and placements to medical, nursing, health science and dental students. Students from across Australia are eligible to participate in the placement program.
