The RFDS began operations at Mascot in January 2003.

to provide the NSW Air Ambulance with pilots, engineers and aeromedically equipped aircraft to ensure that we can deliver an integrated air ambulance service to our area
to support RFDS operations in rural and remote regions of South Eastern Australia with surplus funds from the NSW Air Ambulance contract

we operate four King Air B200 aircraft
our team consists of 20 pilots, 10 engineers and five administrative/technical support staff
our longest regular flight destination is to Lord Howe Island, although we regularly operate flights to 113 destinations including Melbourne and Brisbane
