“I’m so comfortable now with media interviews; there are so many amazing opportunities
that open up when you join the RFDS Spirit of Queensland Awards.”
Chris Buck, Townsville, 2003 Outstanding Achievement Award Winner
"When joining the awards my only goal was to raise money for the RFDS Qld but as I got more involved I found myself growing and developing in ways that I thought would never be possible. The media relations and public speaking skills I have developed make me so proud and are proof of what you can achieve if you put your mind to it!"

Finals
Entrants whose fundraising total reaches $5000 before the middle of November become finalists and are eligible for judging. Finalists are sent a questionnaire to complete and return, which outlines their fundraising activities and achievements.
The finals are held in Brisbane in November and finalists have a great opportunity to meet other finalists, make new friends, reflect on and share stories of participation in the RFDS Spirit of Queensland Awards.
Thanks to our generous sponsor Qantas Foundation who fly our finalists to Brisbane.
