Spirit of Queensland
The RFDS Spirit of Queensland program is a key fundraising initiative conducted annually by the RFDS Queensland Section.
The program is open to people of all ages and backgrounds from all areas of Queensland, who have a caring and compassionate nature and are motivated to meet the challenge.
Entrants co-ordinate activities and events within their communities and raise funds for the RFDS.Funds raised go towards the replacement of ageing aircraft and to update vital medical equipment.
The RFDS Spirit of Queensland program focuses on bringing urban, rural, remote and regional Queenslanders together in celebration of their achievements in supporting the work of the RFDS. The program offers personal development opportunities and is a great way to engage with your local community.
In November each year, a celebration event is held for entrants to recognise their achievements and the RFDS Spirit of Queensland Award is presented to the person who best exemplifies the Spirit of Queensland.
