Sponsorship - Western Operations
For particular projects and programs over and above those that are funded by governments, we often seek to partner with the corporate sector in return for financial support.
Some companies prefer to donate to projects and programs but because these funds must be a true gift with no strings attached in order to qualify for a 100% tax deduction, sponsorship is sometimes a better option.
Sponsorship is where a company agrees to support an RFDS project or program at an agreed level for an agreed term in return for specific, itemised benefits, which may include such things as publicity, promotion and advertising to a wide audience. Most sponsorships are subject to a legal agreement between the parties.
Companies can claim sponsorship funding as a business expense in the same way they can claim such things as advertising costs, however it does not qualify as a charitable donation for which a 100% tax deduction is offered.
Many of our major projects would not have been possible without the support of our valuable corporate sponsors, who have also enjoyed the benefits of being closely associated with our organisation. We invite any business that would like a mutually beneficial partnership with the RFD to contact us for a discussion around how we might develop a package that suits your needs.
