Prehospital Anaesthesia and Airway Management

Prehospital Anaesthesia and Airway Management

This course is for doctors, nurses or paramedics who wish to update and upskill in the areas of emergency sedation, analgesia, anaesthesia and airway management in the prehospital environment. In one day, we will cover the latest evidence base for prehospital rapid sequence induction, emergency airway management, procedural sedation and field anaesthesia.

The faculty will comprise anaesthetists, general practitioners and critical care specialists who together have enormous 'real world' experience, combining a wealth of knowledge and an understanding of experiential teaching to ensure you gain the necessary skills to apply in this challenging environment.

You will not be bored or overwhelmed by endless lectures or manuals full of technical details. Our teaching philosophy is to engage you as an adult learner providing structured interactive case based group discussion, simulation exercises and focused skills training.

Core topics to be covered include:
> Understanding the Evidence Base for Prehospital Anaesthesia and Airway Management
