Captain Tony Bennett joined the Royal Flying Doctor Service (Qld Section) in February 2008 working as a Senior Base Pilot based in Brisbane.

Tony Bennet served in the Royal Australian Air Force for a thirty year rewarding career. Some of Tony’s achievements include a long and distinguished period as a RAAF Qualified Flying Instructor involved in both basic and ab initio flying training with student Pilots from all three Services and the distinction of being one of the RAAF’s most experienced Caribou Pilots and Caribou Flying Instructors.

Tony served as the Commanding Officer of a frontline transport Squadron as a Wing Commander. He also has extensive exposure as both an operational pilot and Flying Instructor on the Caribou in the demanding Papua New Guinea environment. He undertook Active Military Service during the Australian Military lodgement into East Timor.
