Governance
The RFDS National Board of Directors and each RFDS Section Board is committed to responsible corporate governance. In accordance with the Australian Stock Exchange Corporate Governance Council’s Principles of Good Corporate Governance and Best Practice Recommendations, the Boards have established a sound framework of corporate governance practices that it considers appropriate for the RFDS.
The Boards recognise that they are accountable to members and stakeholders for the performance of the RFDS and, to that end, are responsible for implementing a system of corporate governance that operates in the best interests of members while also addressing the interests of other key stakeholders.
The Boards also recognise that corporate governance is not a static matter and regularly reviews the Company’s policies and practices to ensure that they remain current and in accordance with best practice.
