Greater Western Area Health Service
Our alliance with the Greater Western Area Health Service (GWAHS) helps us to facilitate the delivery of medical services from our Base at Broken Hill ensuring the provision of better primary healthcare, clinics and aerial evacuations to the greater western region of NSW.
Teaming up with the GWAHS and the University of Sydney’s School of Rural Health at Dubbo in 2003, we have also been able to:
- fly inter-hospital transfers from our Dubbo Base
- provide clinical training to undergraduate and postgraduate medical students
- add a doctor to the team at Dubbo Base who also assists in the Emergency Department of Dubbo Hospital and with training medical, nursing and health
