Fundraise for the Flying Doctor
Every year hundreds of RFDS supporters organise and participate in community events to help raise vital funds to keep us flying! The RFDS places great value on the resulting grass-roots advocacy, increased awareness of the RFDS and fundraising income.
Some examples of recent events include quiz nights, charity balls, fundraising dinners, BBQs, 4WD treks, art exhibitions, workplace casual days, concerts, and physical endurance events.
Events might be held especially to raise funds for the RFDS – or your organisation could select an event you would normally hold and donate the proceeds to the RFDS.
You can even arrange for guests to your birthday party, house-warming or wedding anniversary celebration to give a donation to the RFDS in lieu of gifts.
It is important that we are aware of your plans and that your event is registered with the RFDS before you proceed with event planning. We want to help you ensure that the event succeeds in raising funds, abides by relevant legislation and promotes the good name and image of the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
Use of the RFDS logo and name must also be discussed before they are published in promotional material for your event.
