Ergon Energy has been a principal sponsor of the RFDS since 1999. It was in Mount Isa 13 years ago that Ergon Energy and the RFDS, both operating under a charter to serve regional and rural Queenslanders, announced a major sponsorship deal that would allow Ergon Energy’s customers to make donations to the Royal Flying Doctor Service through their electricity bills.

Thirteen years on and the partnership has seen more than six million dollars raised to help the RFDS provide emergency and routine medical care services throughout Queensland. The money has been used to assist in our aircraft replacement program and to update medical equipment.
