Emergencies
All the services are controlled by our operations centre in Perth 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Should you need to call upon the service for assistance, proceed as follows:
- Select a frequency in accordance with the published guidelines.
- If the frequency is already in use, wait for a break and then commence your call with “Emergency” to alert other users to cease transmissions.
- During the period of an Emergency, KEEP YOUR RADIO TURNED ON as we may need to talk to you.
If necessary, over a prolonged emergency, establish set times with us for communications contact; for example, every hour at a quarter past the hour. This will prolong your battery life, and will also allow you to attend to other important matters.
