National Board of Directors
The Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia is governed by the National Board of Directors.
Major General Michael Jeffery, AC, CVO, MC - Chairman
Former Governor-General (August 2003 – September 2008) and Governor of Western Australia (1993 – 2000). Major General Michael Jeffery was appointed as National Chairman in November 2008. He has been actively involved in assisting the RFDS to raise charitable funds for many years.
Mr John Robert Milhinch OAM
Former President of the SE Section; Director,Europcar Asia Pacific; Chairman, RFDS National Superannuation Fund; Formerly General Manager Strategic Investments and Investor Relations, Accor Asia Pacific.
Mr Neville Bassett
Mr Neville Bassett runs a corporate consulting business in Perth and was originally nominated as a director for this Board in 1998. Neville also represents Western Operations as a director on the National Board of the Australian Council of the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia.

Mr Mark Gray
Mark Gray has been a member of the Queensland Section Board since 2000, and is currently Deputy Chairman and a member of the Finance and Audit Committee. Mark is an Executive Director at BDO, specialising in corporate finance and advisory work. He also has his own consulting business, and is a director on a number of private sector, government and not-for-profit boards. He was previously Office Head for the Macquarie Group in Queensland from 2000-2008 and Deputy Under Treasurer in Queensland Treasury from 1995-2000.
